Rudi Garcia RomaAfter his recent arrival in Serie A last season, Roma boss Rudi Garcia has made an instant impression upon the league and he has now given his opinion on the country that he currently calls home, believing there to be a number of things which could be changed.

Garcia firstly gave a vague opinion on the discussed topic, then going on to criticise the hierarchy that have chosen to ban him for a total of four games this season.

“Italy is a great country,” said Garcia to a group of French Journalists.

“We must not make comparisons with what happens within the world of football and outside of it.

“This is the same for France as well.”

Although the 50-year-old did admit that the higher echelons of Italian football suffers from a lack of direct leadership.

“In Italian football, there are no executives who are responsible for the general organisation,” he continued.

“There are numerous things that can be improved, but this is not my task.”

Garcia then continued, discussing his latest ban for allegedly spitting on a Genoa steward.

“There are rules in Italian football that must be respected even if they are strange,” he said.

“For example: To be tried and sentenced for something that one is not affiliated with, without even hearing the person who was involved, is a very amazing thing.”

The Roma boss is still protesting his innocence for this alleged incident.
