Inter and AC Milan are both weighing up an offer for Genoa star Diego Perotti, who has been in magnificent form this season.
The 26-year-old Argentinian international has enjoyed a career renaissance with the Grifone since joining from Sevilla in the summer, with his performances playing a part in his side’s current third place standing on the Serie A table.
Tuttosport reports that both Milan clubs have taken an interest in Perotti, with both clubs confident of successfully negotiating a deal with Genoa president Enrico Preziosi.
Milan are banking on their good relationship with Genoa over the years to help accelerate an agreement, whilst Inter are willing to include long-time Genoa targets Ibrahima Mbaye and George Puscas along with cash in their offer.
Perotti’s agent, Alvaro Torres, has failed to rule out a move away for Perotti in the upcoming transfer window, but confirms that his client is happy at his current club.
“The only comment I can make, is that Diego is fine in Genoa and is happy, neither he nor I want to talk about the [transfer] market,” Torres affirmed.
“He’s playing great football. It is not the right time for this topic, instead he must focus on work on the pitch and do better and better. I repeat, he is really happy at Genoa.”
