Roma forward Gervinho feels that coach Rudi Garcia’s two-match suspension won’t negatively affect how the Lupi play on the pitch and insists that the tactician’s dedication will remain the same.

The Giallorossi boss received his ban after allegedly getting into a scuffle with a steward following the capital city club’s 1-0 win over Genoa on December 14 and the 27-year-old believes that the Frenchman will still help lead the team to success as he usually does even if he’s not on the sidelines.

Gervinho spoke to Sky Sport Italia about Roma’s hard-earned victory against the Grifone and commented on the effect that Garcia’s suspension may have on the Stadio Olimpico outfit as they prepare to face AC Milan in Rome on Saturday.

“It was a difficult game, a challenge between the second and third places in the league at the time,” said the Ivorian international.

“At the end of the match there was confusion, but the most important thing is that Roma have won.

“Will Garcia’s suspension affect the team? No, I don’t think so. The coach remains focused on the team and the field, we will do everything the same in order to try to win every game.”
