Roma forward Gervinho has revealed that he has always worked hard to achieve his goals and admits that he didn’t expect to progress in professional football in such a short amount of time.
The 27-year-old has been able to revive his career with the Giallorossi since his arrival at the capital city club from Arsenal in 2013 and confirmed that it has taken a huge amount of dedication to get to where he is today, but insists that he has always received help from his peers.
Gervinho spoke to Urban FM about his career thus far and commented on what it takes to become a professional footballer.
“I knew that I would have worked hard to get to where I am today because this is my passion,” said the Ivorian international.
“What I wanted to do in life was to play football, but I did not know that everything would go this way so quickly.
“I have always put in so much effort, I’ve always been so serious about achieving my goals. I have not worked alone, but I have always tried very hard.”
