Glik – Torino

Torino captain Kamil Glik bemoaned his side’s failure to learn from their mistakes despite fighting back twice at home to earn a draw at home.

A draw, in fact, that was only earned via the Pole’s second half header that crashed in off the upright to earn his team a share of the spoils.

He told Sky Sport Italia afterwards: “We are disappointed with the goals we conceded. We have still not learned the lessons of last week against Juventus.

“We played a great second half and deserved to win it. We must analyse these mistakes carefully so we do not repeat them in the future.”

However, he was delighted with the response of his side in the second half, having conceded to Paulo Dybala’s fine flick and finish just before the interval.

“It was a great goal that Dybala scored but it was avoidable,” the Toro captain continued. “Another lesson we must learn from, like against Juventus.

“We must push on more like we did in the second half when I think that we did play very well. We think we can do well against any side but we must be focused from the first minute of matches until the 95th minute.

“We are not concerned with our league position. The season is a long one. We could be four or five places higher but we are already thinking of the next game.”

The Granata currently occupy 15th spot in the Serie A standings.
