Atletico Madrid’s forward Alessio Cerci has declared that he has not reached an agreement with AC Milan despite being widely reported that he is set to join the Rossonerri.

A move for the Italian international from Milan seems more likely with the return of Rossoneri man Fernando Torres to the Vicente Calderon, with the former Roma youth player believed to be heading back to Italy as a part of a swap deal for the Spaniard.

MilanNews.it released details of Cerci’s potential deal with Milan, reporting that he would receive between €2.6-2.8 million per year.

On the other hand, Torres’ salary would be significantly reduced to €2 million to allow the Colchoneros to remain within their salary budget.

“As always, when it comes to me, I often read things that are not true and fantasies,” Cerci wrote on his official Facebook page.

“I did not refuse anyone [last summer] and I have not signed with anyone [now].

“I am a player of Atletico Madrid and consider what is best for the club and myself.

“I think this is normal and the right thing to do.”

In his first season in Madrid, Cerci made six appearances without scoring a goal.
