Mauro Icardi would like to play alongside Mario Balotelli at Inter and the Argentine has hailed the enigmatic Liverpool forward a truly great player.
Balotelli has endured a difficult start to his Liverpool career, he has yet to score in the Premier League, and manager Brendan Rodgers is contemplating cutting his losses on the 24-year-old, and a return to the Nerazzurri has been mooted, a move that Icardi would welcome.
“If he comes [to Inter] we would happily accept him,” he told SportMediaset.
“He is a really great player.”
Icardi also revealed that he is ready to put an end to the questions surrounding his future with the Nerazzurri by saying that he is now ready to sign a new deal with Inter.
