Inter have once again turned their attentions to Borussia Dortmund left back Marcel Schmelzer, having tried and failed to sign the player during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old is a first team regular at Dortmund who currently sit at the foot of the German First Division and the Nerazzurri believe that his club’s lowly standing could lower his asking price.
During the summer Dortmund were seeking around €12 million for the Germany international however, now according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are trying to push for a fee of around €6m instead.
Inter are not the only side monitoring the player’s situation as they are likely to face competition from Serie A rivals Napoli and also from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow.
