Inter are set to strengthen their squad in January with Atletico Madrid forward Alessio Cerci, Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi  and Liverpool defensive midfielder Lucas Leiva the names high on Roberto Mancini’s wish list.

The Nerazzurri have struggled this season and lie in 11th position, seven points off third place Napoli, with Champions League qualification, which was the club’s main aim when the season kicked off in August, seeming a long way off.

According to Gazzetta dello sport, a meeting will take place on Monday evening, with Mancini, CEO Michael Bolingbroke, vice president Zavier Zanetti and president Erick Thohir all present with the latter via video conference to discuss the moves.

Any move for either of the players would have to be offset with the sale of one or two of the current squad with Alvaro Pereira the most likely to be shipped out, with a permanent move to a Brazilian club on the cards, and Gremio are believed to be showing the most interest.

Inter face fourth place Lazio on Sunday night at the San Siro in their last game before the winter break.
