Inter’s chances of signing Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell seem to have been dealt a blow after Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has looked to put an end to rumours linking the striker with a move away from the club.

Everton and Benfica were also amongst  the teams who were keen on signing the 22-year-old, however after Wenger’s most recent remarks, it looks like any possibility of a transfer has ended.

“There is no reason to speak about his future, the player will stay with us,” said Wenger to Arsenal’s official website after their 4-1 victory against Galatasaray.

So after this most recent set back, it seems that new Inter coach Roberto Mancini will have to look elsewhere if he wants to improve upon his current attacking outfit.
