AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi has said his side can finish no lower than third place this season.

Finishing in that position will allow the Rossoneri to compete in the Champions League, which is where a team of Milan’s nature have to be, according to their coach, given their history and huge success as little as seven years ago when they beat Liverpool in the Champions League final.

“How can you not look to achieve third place if your name is Milan,” Inzaghi told the press.

“We have to think about winning the Scudetto.”

Speaking about the clash with Roma on Saturday evening, the Italian continued, “They are one of the best teams in Italy and have done well in Europe.

“We’ll have to put in a great performance and not be afraid of anything.”

Milan travel to the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, knowing that a win would temporarily take them up to third place in the Serie A standings.
