Conte - Norway v ItalyItaly coach Antonio Conte believes there should be a better relationship between Serie A clubs and the national team.

In recent weeks Conte has visited many Serie A clubs but is still adamant that more can be done in order to strengthen relations between the two parties.

“I think more can be done between the clubs of Serie A and the national side,” Conte told Processo del Lunedì.

“I would expect in the coming months more talks between the two sides. I know there are problems and I hope that they can be solved in the future.

“I would like for the gaps that have been there in recent years to be filled.

“Earlier this year I was on the other side of the fence, so I know what the clubs want.

Conte also gave his thoughts on the Champions League last 16 draw which sees Juventus take on German side Borussia Dortmund.

“It is a great matchup.

“They are two well organised teams and there will not be a lot to choose between the two sides.

“I hope for the Italian game that Juventus can progress.”
