Juventus are interested in signing Inter defender Nemanja Vidic in January according to reports in Italy.

The Old Lady are said to be looking to bring in a new centre-back in the upcoming transfer window as cover for the injured Leonardo Bonucci, Martin Caceres and Andrea Barzagli, and the Serbian international is among the targets.

La Stampa claims that a loan move could be on the cards for the 33-year-old, who is not in new Nerazzurri coach Roberto Mancini’s plans.

The former Manchester United man’s form has been criticised since moving to Italy, and he is yet to make an appearance under Mancini having not played since the draw with Hellas Verona in November.

The deal would be reminiscent of a similar move made by veteran Inter defender Lucio who joined the Bianconeri in January 2012 but made only one appearance for the Turin giants.

Other options for Massimiliano Allegri include another former Inter defender, Rolando, Vlad Chiriches of Tottenham Hotspur, full-back Martin Montoya of Barcelona, and Aleksandar Dragovic of Dynamo Kiev who could be available for €12 million.
