Juventus are only missing the agreement of Porto for the loan of Rolando, with the player himself hoping to force through a move.

The defender has reportedly agreed to join Massimiliano Allegri’s side as further cover for long-term absentee Andrea Barzagli, but Juventus’ offer of €300,000 for a six-month loan has been turned down by the Portuguese club.

Tuttomercatoweb claims that Old Lady president Andrea Agnelli met with the Porto general director recently in Dubai and was told that Rolando was available but for €1 million and with an obligation to buy the player at the end of the deal.

The deal is expected to go through though with title rivals Roma close to loaning another potential Juve target, Vlad Chiriches of Tottenham Hotspur.

Tuttosport report though that if the club’s cannot agree on a move Rolando would go through the courts to try and move for free in the summer.

However, the Bianconeri would ideally like the move to go through in early January so that the 29-year-old would be available to face his former club Inter at Juventus Stadium on 6 January.
