Inter man Mateo Kovacic has said that the goal he scored against Lazio on Sunday night is the best goal of his career.

The Nerazzurri came back from behind to draw 2-2 with Lazio at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, in which Kovacic scored a volley to pull one back for Inter, and the Croatian international has said that the goal scored was the best he has ever scored.

“It was definitely the best goal I’ve ever scored,” he told Sky. “However, I’m sorry that we weren’t able to win.

“We aren’t happy with the result, we conceded two goals that we could’ve easily avoided.

“We were much better in the second half than we were in the first half.”

Kovacic then went on to say that he will play where Roberto Mancini asks of him.

“My role? Honestly, I’m tired of this question,” he said. “I do what the coach asks of me, and I’m sure he knows better.”

Inter have now won only once in their previous five games.
