Lazio have made out-of-favor Marseille defender Doria their number one defensive priority in the upcoming transfer window.
The 20-year-old Brazilian was a target of Lazio in the summer when he was still at Botafogo, but eventually sealed a move to the Ligue 1 in the concluding days of the transfer window.
Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa however revealed in an explosive press conference earlier this season, that the signing was not the one he wanted and was made against his wishes by the club’s directors.
Il Messaggero report that Lazio will make another move for Doria, who has barely featured under Bielsa this term, in the coming month.
If a move for Doria is unsuccessful once again, Lazio will launch an assault for Fiorentina defender Ahmed Hegazy or Sporting Lisbon central defender Paulo Oliveira.
