Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has highlighted his motivation to see out 2014 in Serie A with victory over Cagliari.
The Bianconeri travel to Sardinia tonight looking to maintain top spot prior to their Supercoppa showpiece against Napoli in Qatar on Monday.
“We want to close 2014 as leaders of Serie A,” said Llorente via his personal Twitter account.
“A win [on Thursday] is vital. Vamos!”
Former Athletic Bilbao star Llorente has notched three goals in 14 league appearances so far this campaign and may have to settle for a place on the bench at the Stadio Sant’Elia with fellow Spaniard Alvaro Morata pushing for a starting spot.
Roma recently closed the gap to just one point following consecutive draws for Juventus and therefore three points taken by the Old Lady from their clash with struggling Cagliari would put all of the pressure back on the Giallorossi to ensure victory over resurgent AC Milan this weekend.
