Inter coach Roberto Mancini has revealed the club will look to add to their attack in the January transfer window.

The Italian, in his second spell in charge of the club, is hoping to add some quality to the Nerazzurri forward line as he looks to mould the squad into his wishes.

“We hope to acquire at least one fast, technical attacker who knows how to score,” he told reporters.

“It won’t be simple to sign them, but we’ll try. Maybe there is someone who is not playing at their club at the moment and can come here for six months.”

He then proceeded to report on the condition of a number of his players ahead of the upcoming match with Lazio.

“When Nemanja Vidic is better physically he will be important for us,” the former Manchester City boss said. “But for now I don’t think I will be changing the defence.

“I think Kovacic and Hernanes can play together. If everyone does their defensive duties then you can play with as many offensive players in the field as you want. Hernanes can play in a number of positions, he has quality and speed.

“Guarin is an important player for us whilst Palacio is not completely fit but I don’t have many alternatives at the moment. After the winter break he will be better.”

Finally he commented on opponents Lazio and the clubs objectives for the remainder of the season.

“They are a good team and are playing very well,” Mancini stated. “It will be a very difficult match, but we will try to impose our game and be clinical in front of goal.

“The aim is to enter the Champions League and it depends only on us. I believe this team can get to third place. We should not look at the standings now, but think only to work and improve as we are doing.”
