Rolando Maran has admitted that his Chievo players have prepared well for their crucial derby match against Hellas Verona on Sunday and that Hellas will have to play well to beat his side.
The Flying Donkeys visit their city rivals in the latest instalment of the Derby della Scala on Sunday afternoon knowing that with a win they can move four points clear of the relegation zone and Maran knows that his players are ready.
“We have prepared well, we do not expect it to be an easy game,” Maran told reporters.
“But it will not be easy for them to play against us.
“Verona are a good team and I have a lot of respect for the results that head coach [Andrea] Mandorlini has achieved over the years and how he has got the team playing.”
