Mayer of Naples Luigi De Magistris is hoping that Napoli’s Supercoppa Italiana triumph will act as a boost to the Partenopei’s morale.
The Neapolitans overcame Juventus in Doha by a score of 6-5 on penalties after 120 minutes ended in a 2-2 draw, and De Magistris went on to speak about the triumph.
“Napoli have lacked concentration on many occasions this season,” he told Rai. “We hope that this victory will help them in the second half of the season.
“A new stadium? We certainly need a stadium that the people of Naples deserve, but now let’s celebrate the win.”
Napoli are set to resume action in Serie A with an away trip to Cesena on January 6.
