Jeremy Menez wants to repay the trust show in him after AC Milan’s impressive 2-0 victory over Napoli at the Stadio Meazza on Sunday night.
The Frenchman performed at the top of his game, opening the scoring and nearly adding a third goal after performing a stylish nutmeg through the defence in the second half.
“I feel very well and behind me there is a team that helps me a lot,” said Menez to Sky Sport Italia.
“[Milan coach Filippo] Inzaghi has always believed in me and I have to pay it back on field. This game can put is on the right path because it was [a] good [match] and we have to continue like this.”
Milan’s protagonist then continued on the same note when speaking with Mediaset Premium.
“We are happy with this victory, we found enthusiasm,” he said.
“Against Genoa our efforts lacked malice, these three points will be useful in the future. We beat a great team like Napoli, we have to continue like this.
“The next game against Roma? I cannot wait to return to that city. It will be my pleasure to see [Francesco] Totti, [Daniele] De Rossi and many others.”
