Napoli are apparently considering making a move for Club Brugge and Belgium right-back Thomas Meunier.
The Partenopei are in the market for defensive reinforcements, and the exciting fullback is the latest name to be linked with the Serie A giants recently.
“We know that Napoli follow him closely, but they are yet to start official negotiations”, stated Brugge managing director Vincent Mannaert to Hnl.be.
“If it were up to us, we’d be renewing his contract”, the Belgian continued, regarding the 23-year-old’s deal with the club which expires in 2016.
Napoli currently sit in third place in the Serie A table, but their position is far from secure as eighth place Fiorentina are still only four points away.
Meunier has three caps to his name for his national side, after making his debut in November 2013.
