Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has suggested that Manolo Gabbiadini won’t be the only new face at the club during the impending January transfer window.
The Partenopei have been heavily linked with the Sampdoria striker and although no formal notification has been made, the deal is expected to go through in the New Year.
“I have a terrible habit of being the last to announce any of our signings”, he told Radio Kiss Kiss. “I only call journalists once contracts have signatures but they always tell me that they already knew!”
Though he refused to confirm the arrival of Gabbiadini, the club president admitted: “We are working on finalising other deals during this festive period.”
Napoli currently sit fourth in the Serie A standings and are fresh from winning the Supercoppa Italiana, after a dramtic penalty shootout victory over league leaders Juventus.
