Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon fueled speculation of Manolo Gabbiadini joining the club in the upcoming transfer window.
The Sampdoria striker is thought to be on Napoli’s hitlist and a transfer to the Partenopei has been mooted in January, with Bigon indicating he is on their radar.
“It is complicated,” he told the press. “It is a thought of mine. For the rest we will see when the market opens.”
The Italian sporting director also responded to rumours regarding De Guzman’s selection over Marek Hamsik during Napoli’s 2-0 defeat to AC Milan.
“De Guzman? He completes the role and we have a good player in that department,” said the 43 year old.
“Nothing removes Hamsik from the team, he is very important and is our captain.”
