Troubled Serie A side Parma has announced Pietro Doca as the new club president.

The Ducali, due to severe financial crisis, had recently announced its sale to a Russian Cypriot conglomerate.

The club’s official website read:

“Parma FC announces new organisational structure. President: Dr. Pietro Doca. Vice-President: Fabio Giordano. General Manager: Pietro Leonardi.

“The details of operation and the new corporate structure will be presented by the new shareholders in the press conference that will be held on December 19, 2014, at 18:00 pm, in the press room of the Stadio Ennio Tardini Parma. ”

La Gazzetta dello sport reports that Doca, owner of Doca Jewels, is the legal representative of the Cyprus company that bought Parma.

Doca has however released a statement saying that he wont attend any media event pertaining to the club.

“An official document for the sale has not been signed,” the potential new owner insisted.

“To date we are not at the helm of Parma, I am not the President and I am not the owner of the Emilian club despite what has been written in the media.

“The deal will be officially completed when conditions are right.

“Therefore, at the moment I do not intend to participate in any Press conference.

“I will call a Press conference if and when I am in possession of the ownership deed of Parma FC.”

Parma have been debt-ridden since last season and recently the club were docked a point by Serie A officials as punishment for failing to pay their players.
