Varese striker Bruno Petkovic thanked the Varese fans for there support during his sides 3-0 loss to Lazio in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday afternoon.
The Croatian forward who is on-loan from Catania thought his side deserved more from the game at the Stadio Olimpico but is proud of their performance.
“I want to thank our amazing fans and the support they gave us,” Petkovic commented on his Twitter account after the game.
“We wanted to win this game and not show up to make the numbers.
“I think we done well and did not deserve to lose by this score.”
The 20-year-old, who has one cap for the Croatian U-21 side, joined Leopardi on-loan at the start of the season and will be hoping to help his side climb the Serie B table as they currently languish in 19th position after round 16.
