“We are still there, we are still in the fight,” he said.

“Despite slowing down slightly, we are continuing on the right path that, up until very recently, we were going along at a great pace.

“All we have to do is find the right rhythm and by defeating Atalanta, we can build upon the victory against Parma.”

Furthermore, Pioli was keen to dispel doubts about his team’s physical attribute’s after a few tiresome displays.

“Every Sunday we study the team’s physical data and at this current moment we are above average in the league so physically we are fine.” he continued.

“We have just have to make sure that we can maintain our performance for the entire 90 minutes.”

Lastly the Lazio coach also stated that his two main attackers are prepared for their upcoming game this Saturday.

” [Miroslav]Klose and [Filip] Djordjevic are in good shape. They are both ready to help the team.”
