Fiorentina were handed a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Dinamo Minsk on Thursday night at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in the Europa League.
The Belarusians took a two goal lead via Nemanja Nikolic and Sergei Kontsevoj, before Marko Marin pulled one back for the hosts – who had already secured top spot in the group.

Ciprian Tatarusanu – 6 – Confident
The Romanian was not at fault for any of the goals conceded on the night, looking confident in the penalty area.
Micah Richards – 6.5 – Strong
The Englishman put in a good performance on the night, and even caused the opposition trouble with some runs in the first half.
Gonzalo Rodriguez – 6 – Reasonable
Even though Fiorentina’s defending of counterattacks was subpar throughout the night, the Argentine saved the Viola from almost conceding a goal in the first-half with a goalline clearance, and was composed.

Worked hard, but often fell short in front of the Dinamo Minsk defenders.

Was much more active in the first-half than in the second, but nevertheless put in a tireless shift on the night.

Threatened Dinamo Minsk’s goal on some occasions, but overall put in a reasonable performance which was full of grit.

The Chilean tirelessly tried to find a possible opening in the Dinamo Minsk defence, contributing to Fiorentina’s attempts to score.

Caused Dinamo Minsk all sorts of problems, especially in the second half; his efforts were awarded near the end when he got himself on the scoresheet.

Fiorentina were in need of him to fix the somehow shaky midfield, and manage to play that role with ease.

Managed to produce several good saves to deny the Viola, rescuing his team on many occasions in the game.
Oleg Veretilo – 6.5 – Strong
Very strong and aware on several occasions, even though he ruined it towards the end by receiving his marching orders, the 26-year-old was able to produce a great defensive and offensive display for his side.
Sergey Kontsevoj – 7 – Commanding
Put in a fantastic performance on the night, playing a gigantic role in his side’s victory with a great defensive performance.
Sergey Politevich – 7 – Fighter
Just like his defensive counterparts, he put in a great shift to deny Fiorentina the victory on the night.

Although much less visible than his teammates, the fullback was able to play in integral role in nullifying some of Fiorentina’s attacks.

Literally terrorised the Fiorentina backline on the counterattack in the first-half, playing a sizebale role in his side’s scoring endeavours, and even had a sizable role in Sergei Kontsevoi’s opening goal.

Scored his side’s second goal on the night, causing some havoc to the Fiorentina defence.

Extremely lively throughout the game, causing Vincenzo Montella’s men major trouble on some occasions.
