Lazio comfortably beat Atalanta 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to go third in Serie A.
After a poor first half, the game came into life eight minutes into the second half when Stefano Mauri slotted home after excellent work by Felipe Anderson down the right hand side.
The second goal was Mauri’s own work, turning superbly before firing past Sportiello in the Atalanta goa,l before Senad Lulic headed home a third to complete a miserable night for the men from Bergamo.

Federico Marchetti – 6 – Faultless
Didn’t have a lot to do but what he did do he did very well.
Dusan Basta – 7 – Excellent
Was a big threat down the right always looking to attack and was solid in his defensive duties as well.
Stefan De Vrij – 6.5 – Class
Always looked untroubled in defence, should have scored in the first half.
Lorik Cana – 6 – Solid
Was hardly noticed and kept the Atalanta forward line well marshalled
Stefan Radu – 6 – Comfortable
Got a blow to the head early on but was always in control down the left and stemmed the threat from Moralez.
Alvaro Gonzalez – 6 – Tidy
Was a steady presence and kept the midfield ticking over
Cristian Ledesma – 3.5 – Poor
Poor delivery from Set Pieces and his didn’t have any influence on the team at all.
Senad Lulic – 5.5 – Anonymous
Popped up with a header for the third goal but didn’t really do much else
Stefano Mauri – 8 – Impressive
The captain got the vital opening goal, which sparked the game into life, and scored a superb second goal.
Filip Djordevic – 4 – Quiet
Didn’t really contribute much throughout the game and was replaced by Klose
Felipe Anderson – 7.5 – Powerful
Looked lively throughout and was a constant problem for the opposition and set up the goal for Mauri.

Had a great run right at the end of the game but was denied by a brilliant save.

Marco Sportiello – 5.5 – Unlucky
His handling was good and made a good saves from Anderson and Keita in the Second half had no chance for any of the goals.
Yohan Benaluoane – 5.5 – Below Par
Didn’t offer much throughout the game down the Atalanta right hand side.
Guglielmo Stendardo – 5.5 – Resolute
Produced a great tackle on Anderson in the first half and scoreline could have been a lot worse had he not made some last ditch blocks as well.
Nicolo Cherubin – 4.5 – Shaky
Didn’t help out Stendardo as much as he should have done and had a tough night
Cristiano Del Grosso – 5 – Not Effective
Had a tough evening dealing with the runs of Basta and didn’t offer much going forward
Giulio Migliaccio – 6 – Busy
Was his usual industrious self and picked up a booking in the first half, was sacrificed once Lazio took the lead.
Luca Cigarini – 4.5 – Sloppy
Normally one of Atalanta’s shining lights but not tonight.
Carlos Carmona – 4 – Awful
Didn’t contribute anything at times and was hardly seen during the game
Maxi Moralez – 4.5 – Subdued
Couldn’t put his stamp on the game like normal and cut a lonely figure
Rolando Bianchi – 3.5 – Wasteful
Couple of shots early on but was hardly involved after that and was substituted midway through the second half.
German Denis – 6 – Tireless
The Argentine did a lot of good work in his own box but didn’t really chance to show what he could do at the other end.
