Roma are keeping tabs on Genoa loanee Maxime Lestienne with the Giallorossi considering whether to make a move for the Belgian winger in the near future.

The 22-year-old spent five years with Club Brugge before a Qatari investment firm paid a reported  €10 million and, using Doha based Al-Arabi Sports to register the player, loaned Lestienne immediately to Genoa.

Playing time at a higher level was expected to drive up the former Belgian under-21 international’s value and, according to  Tuttomercatoweb.com, it may already be working with Roma contemplating a bid.

Lestienne has started four of  his eight appearances for Genoa in the league and cup but appears likely to settle for a place on the bench again this weekend when Gian Piero Gasperini’s men face Torino on Sunday.

Born in Mouscron on the Belgian-French border, the playmaker scored 38 goals in 127 appearances for Club Brugge – although 28 of those came in his last two seasons with the club.
