Roma are reportedly preparing for a major assault upon the Premier League during the January transfer window with several English based stars arousing interest from the Giallorossi.
The three players named as potential targets for the capital side are Vlad Chiriches of Tottenham Hotspur, Christian Benteke of Aston Villa and Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross.
Tuttosport reports that sporting director Walter Sabatini will be looking to strengthen his side’s defense and attack over the coming month and that he already possesses a clear idea of his targets.
Tottenham’s Vlad Chiriches is his first choice to reinforce the Roma back line and it is understood that contact has already been initiated between the two clubs.
In the event that Roma are unable to reach an agreement for the Romanian, then it is believed that they would then turn their attention towards Ryan Shawcross of Stoke City.
In attack, Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke is Sabatini’s prime target, but a deal for the Belgian is unlikely to materialise unless Mattia Destro first leaves the capital side.
