Roma could potentially target Steaua Bucarest left-back Iasmin Latovlevici to backup starter Jose Holebas.
Current backup Ashley Cole is thought to be considering an offer to join Ricardo Kaka in America to play for the Major League Soccer club Orlando City.
According to Calciomercato.it, the Giallorossi are monitoring Latovlevici’s situation as his contract expires at the end of the 2014-15 season, in preparation for a potential transfer attempt.
Roma were also interested in the 28-year-old Romanian international during the 2013 summer transfer window, but are considering other potential left-back options including Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual and Augsburg’s Abdul Rahman Baba.
