Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Sportiello has insisted his team need to move on after a heavy defeat to Lazio.

The Nerazzurri followed up their 3-2 victory over Cesena with a 3-0 defeat at Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night, a result the goalkeeper believes his side should move on from quickly.

“Lazio were aggressive, we tried to carry on our form but it didn’t go well for us,” Sportiello told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s never nice to concede three goals, we now have an important match against Palermo and have to move on.”

Sportiello recently received his first call-up for the Italian Under-21 team having solidified his place for Atalanta.

“I did not expect to get called up, I was very pleased, I hope to make my debut next,” the 22 year-old concluded.

Atalanta reside near the bottom of the table with 14 points from 15 matches, three points above the relegation zone.
