Torino coach Giampiero Ventura was happy to beat Genoa on Sunday, but admits he will be looking for the club to get the players he needs during the transfer window.

The Granata scored two unanswered second half goals to shock Genoa, locking up three massive points ahead of the holiday break.

“It’s an important victory. We played against a team that hasn’t lost away, and we reacted greatly.  I’m happy for my players. They wanted this victory, and they succeeded,” he told Sportmediaset after the match.

“These are three very big points from a psychological point of view.”

Ventura then changed the topic, focusing on the upcoming transfer window.

“The market? The club knows exactly what we need. If some of it occurs, or happens, so be it.  We need people who have the desire and humility to play for Torino.”

The three points against Genoa move Torino up to 14th, temporarily out of the relegation zone.
