Maurizio Zamparini does not believe that Palermo will be particularly active during the January transfer window, although he did concede that the situation could change should his club discover the right player.

Palermo have enjoyed a positive first half to the season following promotion, though Zamparini believes that safety remains the primary objective there is no guarantee that he will strengthen the side over the coming month.

“In January we will not enter the market,” Zamparini told Giornale della Sicilia.

“We will send people out on loan, those who have not played very often.

“However, I have sent [Manuel] Gerolin in South America to try and find the new [Paulo] Dybala”.

Palermo currently sit 10th in the Serie A table.
