Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza has revealed that his team will be focused on earning more points after the holiday break following their 1-1 draw with Cesena on Saturday.

The 23-year-old gave the Neroverdi the lead over the Seahorses at home after scoring a penalty in the second half, though Eusebio Di Francesco’s men were unable to maintain their focus for the entirety of the match and ended up allowing the visitors to score an equaliser in stoppage time.

Zaza spoke to the press following the draw with Cesena about the home side’s performance throughout the game and Sassuolo’s positive run this season, while also commenting on the club’s mission to secure more points in 2015.

“At this time, unfortunately, we were not able to maintain our concentration until the end,” said the Italian international.

“We weren’t able to close the game with Cesena, we had become a bit tired. The ranking is certainly positive since we’ve obtained 20 points so far.

“In the course of the next few matches, however, we will try to recover some of the points we’ve lost along the way.”
