AC Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of Roma striker Mattia Destro.

The Rossoneri have been on the lookout for a new centre-forward following Fernando Torres’ exit to Atletico Madrid, while Giampaolo Pazzini’s time at the San Siro also looks to be over.

According to SportItalia, Milan will pay around €2-3 million for a loan deal until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent for €12-13m in the summer.

It is thought the player has rejected the advances of Tottenham Hotspur to complete the move to the Rossoneri.

Destro has made 16 Serie A appearances this season for Roma, scoring five goals.
