AC Milan have submitted an offer for Palermo centre-back Ezequiel Munoz in a desperate attempt to sign him before the January transfer window closes.

The 24-year-old has been linked to the Rossoneri in the past, after speculation indicated the club are continuing to look for defensive reinforcements.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, AC Milan have offered Palermo €1.5 million for Munoz’s services, but negotiations have stalled because the Rosaneri are holding out for €2 million.

The Argentine’s contract expires at the end of the season, however Filippo Inzaghi’s side are eager to secure him now to help plug the concession of goals in defence.

Munoz has accumulated over 120 appearances for the Sicilian outfit since his move from Boca Juniors in 2010.
