AC Milan have reportedly opened negotiations with Roma over striker Mattia Destro.
The Italian international has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri in recent weeks, and Milan are aiming to sign the player especially following the injury of Stephan El Shaarawy.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal has a great chance of materialsing as the striker is not in the plans of Roma coach Rudi Garcia, and has lost the support of the Giallorossi faithful.
The report also states that the deal will possibly be a loan with an option to buy as Roma want to recoup the €16 million they paid for Destro when he was signed from Siena in the summer of 2012.
