Udinese midfielder Allan has apologised to the Zebrette fans after the club’s 2-2 draw with Cagliari on Sunday and has insisted that his team were a bit unlucky to miss out on a win.

The 24-year-old scored the Udine side’s second goal of the match to put them ahead 2-1 in the second half at the Stadio Friuli, but a late stoppage time penalty awarded to the Isolani saw the visitors earn a point from the clash, which has come as a big disappointment to the Brazilian.

Allan spoke to Sky Sport Italia after the draw with Cagliari about Udinese’s performance and issued an apology to the supporters for the host’s inability to secure all three points, though he admitted that he was a bit pleased to have at least scored a goal.

“We had a bad first half, but then we had improved,” said the midfielder. “I want to apologise to the fans for the penalty we gave them at the end, which caused the draw.

“We had not given up, but we were unlucky. I’m happy for my goal, but sorry that we haven’t been able to secure the win.”
