Udinese’s Brazilian midfielder Allan feels his team’s hard fought draw against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium earned them an important point.

The 24-year-old native of Rio de Janeiro played a big part in the Zebrette’s equalizing goal, using crafty footwork to create space and make the crucial pass to Cyril Thereau inside Sassuolo’s penalty area.

“We were in an emergency, but we managed to bring home an important point despite the big absences,” said Allan to Sky Sport Italia.

“They put us in trouble in the first minutes but then we put the match back in line.”

The player then gave his opinions on the controversial result against Roma and the challenges ahead.

“The match against Roma? We have a bit of regret, but it’s in the past. We’re thinking already to [the match against] Cagliari, we have to beat them at our stadium on Sunday.”
