Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has warned his side against complacency when they face Parma in the Coppa Italia quarter-final on Wednesday night at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The Bianconeri are on a fine vein of form presently, having won their previous four games in all competitions and Parma, who are sitting at the bottom of the Serie A table on nine points from 20 games will have to produce something magical to knock out the away side.

“I know Juventus have not won the Coppa Italia for the past 20 years and we do not go in thinking of Parma as easy opponents,” said the former AC Milan boss at his pre-match conference.

“The players of Parma have pride and they will want to try to beat us. They have played some good matches although the results do not reflect it.

“Andrea Pirlo trained yesterday and is available and Andrea Barzagli is also recovering well.”

Allegri was then asked to comment on the situation surrounding centre forward Antonio Cassano, whose contract has been terminated by mutual consent and is now a free agent.

” I do not like to speak of other players and teams. We have five attackers and at this time we do not need anyone else,” he continued.

The boss then expressed his thoughts on striker Sebastian Giovinco, who has reached an agreement with Toronto FC and could make the move even before the summer of 2015.

“He is training well and he is a professional. He chose to leave in June and will be one of four strikers that I will have tomorrow.”

The 47-year-old also stressed on the issue that the race for the Scudetto is far from over and that even small mistakes could cost his side dearly. And having coached the Rossoneri in the past, Allegri empathized with current Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi.

“There are no tips that I can give as I myself struggled there. These are difficult times, but they can recover. Europe for Milan is not so far away,”  he concluded.
