Reports in England claim that Preimer League giants Arsenal are plotting a summer move for Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

Arsenal are believed to be scouting for a new goalkeeper after coach Arsene Wenger dropped the club’s Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny following a series of mistakes and getting caught smoking in the shower.

The Daily Express reports that the Premier League club will be launching a €15 million bid to acquire the goalkeeper from Genoa in the coming summer.

The English club has now switched its keeper search to Perin after their earlier target Mainz’s Loris Karius has opted to stay in Germany.

The 22 year old Italian shot-stopper, widely dubbed as the next Gianluigi Buffon, is reportedly now sitting top on the wish list of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Perin has had a terrific start this season with clean sheets in home victories over Serie A leaders Juventus and AC Milan which has sparked real interest in the player, with Premier League side Liverpool also rumored to be interested.
