Rafa-Benitez-turista-a-NapoliNapoli coach Rafa Benitez has admitted that his future with the Azzurri will only be decided in three months ahead of their match against Genoa on Monday.

Recent reports have suggested that Benitez will move on from the southern Italian club at the end of the season, but the Spaniard has stated that a decision will only be made in three months time.

“I have a lot of respect for the city and I am a professional. The decision will be made in three months after speaking with [Riccardo] Bigon and the president [Aurelio De Laurentiis], but every week the dialogue to improve and work continues,” he stated at his pre-match press conference.

“The only thing I can say is that I will continue to do the most I can for the squad.”

Benitez also spoke about the Partenopei’s match against Genoa on Monday, stating the Azzurri are intent on building on their first half results in order to achieve success.

“Nobody is satisfied and that is a sign of growth from the club and the squad.

“In the end it is positive. We are in third, but never say never as we can look ahead as we have progressed in every competition.

“Even those who have played less are motivated to progress in order to have more minutes available to everyone.”
