AC Milan owner and president Silvio Berlusconi has revealed that he’s been losing money for quite some time now due to the Diavolo’s lack of success in recent seasons.

Rumours have suggested that the 78-year-old’s disappointment in his team’s poor form as of late could leave him open to selling the Rossoneri in the near future and he now admits that he’s worried about the San Siro outfit’s chances of earning a Champions League place this term, which could see the club miss out on even more much needed revenue.

Berlusconi spoke to the Corriere della Sera about AC Milan’s current situation in the Serie A and also touched on the club’s unfavourable financial state based on their inability to earn a place in European competition.

“I’m worried,” said the Milan chief. “I won’t be getting a place in the Champions League this season either, meaning that we’ll be losing another €60-70 million in revenue.
