Cesena have terminated the contract of striker Hugo Almeida by mutual consent, the club announced on Monday.
The 30-year-old Portuguese international only joined the club in October, but failed to score in 10 outings for the relegation favourites.
“A.C. Cesena communicates that this afternoon the contract between the Bianconero club and the Portuguese striker Hugo Almeida was rescinded consensually,” a statement on the official Cesena website read.
The hit-man arrived amid high expectations at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi, but failed to deliver and will now be looking for a new club.
