Reports emanating from England suggest Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado is close to completing his protracted transfer to Chelsea.

Cuadrado has been a prime target throughout the January transfer window for the Premier League leaders, with a €35 million buy-out clause believed to have been triggered by the west London club.

According to the BBC, the Colombian has already agreed personal terms on an initial €31 million switch, with the remainder of the fee to be paid in the form of various add-ons.

Additionally, Blues star Mohamed Salah is set to go in the opposite direction as part of the agreement on loan, but is yet to begin talks with his prospective new club.

A medical for Cuadrado is imminent and could get underway as early as this evening, with the completion of the move also set to prompt the sale of Chelsea’s German wing-man Andre Schurrle to Wolfsburg prior to the transfer deadline.
