English Premier League side Chelsea have come to an agreement with the agent of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.

The main body of the transfer is still yet to be agreed, with the Viola understood to be holding out for the player’s €35 million release clause to be activated.

Alessandro Lucci, the Colombian’s agent, was in London this week and has produced an agreement in principle with Chelsea for his client, report Sky Sport Italia.

With just days left of the winter transfer window, Jose Mourinho’s outfit will need to bring their current €28 million bid up to an acceptable level quickly if the deal is to progress before the deadline.

The 26-year-old scored 11 Serie A goals last season, from 32 appearances.
