Cesena boss Domenico Di Carlo has revealed that he expects his team to do well in their upcoming away clash against Parma on Sunday and is hoping to secure points in order to move up the Serie A standings.

The Seahorses currently sit in 19th place on the league table, tied on nine points with the last place Crociati, and the tactician believes that his squad can put on a positive showing at the Stadio Tardini as long as they play with the right attitude.

Di Carlo spoke during his pre-match press conference on Saturday about the match with Parma and Cesena’s mission to continue improving over time, while also commenting on the club’s market situation.

“We will go to Parma with the motivation to play our type of game on the field and make sure the situations are in our favour,” said the 50-year-old.

“Our game has been improving, so I expect a good performances from the boys tomorrow. I have 22 men available and they’re all ready for battle.

“Our formation will make a difference to a certain extent, but it’s mainly about our attitude.

“The market? It should be used to improve our squad, buying a player just to spend money is useless. I also want to thank Hugo Almeida for his depth and professionalism during his time here.

“Everyone plays an important role here, every single one of us can add positivity to the environment. We need a bit more time to change some of the players’ habits, we’re only lacking the results.

“We will try to move up in the league standings, there will be a moment of satisfaction for all of us to enjoy.”
