Everton striker Samuel Eto’o’s transfer to Sampdoria looks set to be confirmed in the next 24 hours.
The player, having passed his medical at the club, was present at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday as Samp were held to a 1-1 draw by Palermo.
According to a statement released on Everton’s official club website, the transfer is expected to be completed within 24 hours.
Eto’o only joined Everton in the summer from fellow Premier League side Chelsea, but has only found the net three times in his 14 league appearances for the Merseyside club.
Sampdoria have been looking to add depth to their squad following Manolo Gabbiadini’s sale to Napoli, and currently sit in fourth place in the Italian top flight, level on points with Lazio in third.
